New Camera, New Video: Birdland

I am something of a late-comer to the video revolution. That’s probably an understatement. This past week we got our very first ever video camera. Yes, we have waited this long. It is a Kodak Zi8, which seems to have a good rep. I’m pretty pleased so far. This is the first video with that camera. It handles the audio feed from my mixer pretty well, I think.

This is, of course, a cover of the Joe Zawinul/Weather Report fusion classic. I also played the bass on the backing tracks. Drums and keyboards are midi. The guitar is an Anderson Hollow Cobra sent through an old Line6 POD Pro.

Let me also state that I am well aware that the much improved video & audio quality does not result in any improvement in my totally load-like “stage presence”.  It does let the music come through pretty well, however.
