Way Out Willie

This is another tune from about 10 years ago. It is a bit more involved than some of my other work, though it may not sound it. It is in a very standard 32 bar AABA format, but each “A” section is in a different key, and the “A” sections also are fairly tricky rhythmically — though there are no meter changes. The basic rhythm comes from the classic “Bo Diddley” feel. The title of the tune is taken to honor one of the many classic 50’s hits that used that rhythm – Johnny Otis’ “Hand Jive”.
