Sixties Xmas Playlists

For Christmas Eve, here are two playlists for all 15 of the 60’s style, instrumental Christmas music tracks. The playlists include one arrangement not posted before.

The 8th track is the “Huron Carol”, also known as  “Twas in the Moon of Wintertime”, is a Canadian Christmas hymn, written in 1642 by Jean de Brébeuf, a Jesuit missionary at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons in Canada.

The song remains a common Christmas hymn in Canadian churches of many Christian denominations. It is also found in several American hymnals. The arrangement here leans heavily on the classic instrumental “Apache”.

I wish a very Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it, as well as a happy, healthy, peaceful and prosperous new year.
