You Won’t See Me

“You Won’t See Me” is from the album Rubber Soul. Credited to Lennon–McCartney, it was written by Paul McCartney.
The song is reportedly about a crisis in McCartney’s relationship with his then-girlfriend Jane Asher. She was not returning his phone calls and ignoring him. The somewhat biting tone is a contrast to McCartney’s usually happier love songs. It was musically influenced by the Four Tops’ then-current hit “It’s the Same Old Song”.
My instrumental arrangement is based on the original.
