The Magic Doll

“The Magic Doll” was an instrumental track on the Shadows 1966 Album, “Shadow Music”.  It was originally written — along with other tracks on that album — for a Christmas 1965 London Palladium Pantomime show called “Babes in the Woods”, which starred Frank Ifield (I Remember You). Songwriting credit is shared by the four members at the time: guitarists Hank Marvin & Bruce Welch, bassist John Rostill and drummer Brian Bennett.

For the non-British among you, a Pantomime is a theatrical entertainment that involves music, topical jokes, and slapstick comedy and is often based on a fairy tale or nursery story. They are usually produced around Christmas.

My arrangement is basically a cover of the original.
