We’re All Alone
This is my instrumental cover of “We’re All Alone”, which was composed by Boz Scaggs and first released on his 1976 album, “SIlk Degrees”. Its best known version is Rita Coolidge’s 1977 top ten hit.
Wings in the Wind
“Wings in the Wind” is an original instrumental intended to be in an 80’s rock style. The influence of Hank Marvin may also be apparent.
Cheap Phil Returns
“Cheap Phil Returns” is an original instrumental intended to evoke the feel of an early 1960s Ventures album track used to “fill out” an album or serve as a “B-side”. Both the Ventures and Shadows discographies are full of tracks like this. In many, many cases, I actually prefer these tracks to the “featured” ones.
Trains and Boats and Planes
This is my instrumental arrangement of “Trains and Boats and Planes”, which was composed by Burt Bacharach with lyrics by Hal David. Originally intended for Gene Pitney, he declined it and it was instead picked up by Billy J. Kramer and the Dakotas, who turned it into a minor hit in 1965. The Shadows covered the song instrumentally on their 1967 album “Jigsaw”.

“Will I Be Alone?” is an riginal instrumental with an ambient feel that was also influenced by the Shadows.
If You Can Believe in Me

Namhansanseoung
“Namhansanseoung” is an original instrumental intended to be similar to the style of the material the Ventures wrote and recorded in the early 1970s primarily for the Japanese market. The Ventures were enormously popular in Japan in the 1960s and 70s, outselling all other foreign artists there, including the Beatles. The Ventures current line-up still tours Japan annually.
Cathy’s Clown
This is my instrumental cover of “Cathy’s Clown”. The song was composed by Don Everly and recorded by the Everly Brothers in 1960. It was the top-selling single of their career.
U R the 1
“U R the 1” is an original instrumental ballad intended to sound similar to something the Shadows might have recorded in the 80s or 90s.
Ambient Shadows

The Nameless Shadow
“The Nameless Shadow” is an original instrumental, which like many of my compositions, pays tribute to and is infuenced by the Shadows and Hank Marvin. This one is intended to sound like something they might have done in the early 1960s – in particular something composed and arranged by their producer, Norrie Paramor.
