Pagoda Blossom
“Pagoda Blossom” is an original instrumental intended to be similar to the style of the material the Ventures wrote and recorded in the early 1970s primarily for the Japanese market.
The Ventures were enormously popular in Japan in the 1960s and 70s, outselling all other foreign artists there, including the Beatles.
The Ventures current line-up still tours Japan annually.
Don’t Think Twice
This is my instrumental cover of “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right“, a song written by Bob Dylan in 1962 and released on the 1963 album The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan. It has been covered by so many artists that I won’t bother to try to list them.
My arrangement is a tribute to the great Gerry McGee, who passed away while on tour in Japan in 2019. Gerry frequently performed this song with the Ventures and in his own concerts.
